Inky Bee Stampers

Today’s card was created using the gorgeous Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. This is the perfect paper to use when making a bay window card…I mean, who wouldn’t want that view! The Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper and the companion Garden Meadow Bundle are now available as Online Exclusives in the online store while supplies last.

The card base for the bay window card was cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock and measures 11″ x 4-1/4″. I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score on the long side at 1/4″, 1-1/2″, 3-1/4″, 4-1/2″ and 5-1/2″. A bone folder was used to burnish all of the score lines.

I selected a piece of paper from the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper pack and cut this down to measure 4″ x 5″. This paper was then cut along the long edge at 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/2″, and 1″, with a remaining panel measuring 3/4″. These panels of designer series paper were kept in the same order that they were cut. All of the panels were then matted to Orchid Oasis cardstock. Working left to right, the first four panels were adhered to the first four sections of the card front. The fifth panel was adhered on the inside right edge of the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This panel becomes the “stop” to form the Bay Window on the card.

The “hello” sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of white cardstock and I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment label and a mat in Granny Apple Green. A loose bow was tied using Linen Thread and this was adhered to the left side of the center panel using Stampin’ Seal. The sentiment label was then adhered on top of the bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, I stamped the “happy birthday!” sentiment in Granny Apple Green ink and the small flower image from the Garden Meadow Stamp Set was stamped onto the bottom corner of the panel using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used Granny Apple Green and Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. The panel was adhered to an Orchid Oasis mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The small flower image was stamped onto the envelope front and colored in with Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. A single Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gem was added to the front of the card.
