Inky Bee Stampers

I hope everyone enjoyed a good weekend! Back to the work week! I have another Christmas card idea for you today! This card was created using the fun Rustic Crate Bundle and Joyful 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper. I also added some beautiful gold accents to this card using Gold Foil and Gold Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper to give the card a festive feel.

I started off by adhering a Shaded Spruce plaid print from the Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper to a mat in Cherry Cobbler. This was then adhered to the front of a Shaded Spruce card base. I love the look of traditional red and green for Christmas! I used a 2-3/8″ Circle Punch to punch a Cherry Cobbler circle and I used a 2″ Circle Punch to punch out a gold Glimmer Paper circle. These were adhered together then adhered to the top of the card front.

Using the Rustic Crate Dies, I cut out the crate pieces from Pecan Pie cardstock and the crate hardware was cut out from Gold Foil. The crate was then assembled using liquid glue. The poinsettia image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock and I used Stampin’ Blends in Cherry Cobbler, Calypso Coral, Shaded Spruce and Daffodil Delight to color the image. The image was then cut out using the coordinating die from the Rustic Crates set. The flowers were adhered inside of the crate and then the crate was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the “Season’s Greetings” sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set and stamped this sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink onto a white sentiment label. I used the Banner Pick A Punch to cut a banner end on each side of the label then adhered the label to a mat in Gold Foil. The sentiment label was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped an additional sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set. I stamped the crate image from the Rustic Crate Stamp Set onto the lower corner of the panel and colored in the white spaces using a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend. I used a Post It Note to mask off the top of the crate, then stamped the poinsettias on top of the crate using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The flowers were colored in the same as the card front. The panel was then adhered to another Cherry Cobbler mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The poinsettia image was stamped once more onto the front of the envelope and colored in with Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of specialty designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and the excess paper was trimmed away with paper snips. I used a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to color in six rhinestones then placed three each onto the flower centers on the card front. A Gold Trim bow was added to the card front as well to finish up the card.
