Stampin’ Up! Fruitful Blessings Friendship Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It’s Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Thanks so much for joining me on my blog today. I’m looking forward to seeing what my teammates have created for the Hop! I know there will be some wonderful inspiration!

My card for today was created using the Fruitful Blessings Bundle and Fresh As A Daisy 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. Texture was provided by one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. The images were colored with a combination of Stampin’ Blends and Watercolor Pencils.

We have a sketch challenge for the Hop.

I started off by embossing a white panel using the crosshatch embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. This embossed panel was then adhered to a mat from a Wild Wheat print from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper pack. Linen Thread was wrapped horizontally around the panel two times. The thread was positioned approximately 1-1/2″ from the bottom of the panel. The panel was then adhered to the front of an Early Espresso card base.

The pear and acorn images from the Fruitful Blessings Stamp Set were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock. I used a combination of Stampin’ Blends in Wild Wheat, Old Olive, Copper Clay and Pecan Pie as well as Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Early Espresso Watercolor Pencils. The images were first colored with the Stampin’ Blends and then watercolor pencils were used to lighten and darken the images were needed. The Fruitful Blessings Dies were used to cut out the images.

The pear image was first adhered to the card front using liquid glue and was positioned to the left and slightly above the center of the card front. Next, I adhered the acorn image with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The acorns sit below the pears and slightly to the right. I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap piece of white cardstock in Pecan Pie ink and used the second to smallest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and sits above the acorn leaves and slightly overlapping the leaves.

Two lengths of Linen Thread were slipped under the wrapped Linen Thread on the far left of the card front and I tied a double bow.

For the inside panel, the acorn image was stamped onto the upper left corner of the panel, and I stamped an additional sentiment to the right of the acorn image in Pecan Pie ink. The panel was adhered to a Wild Wheat mat and then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same acorn image was partially stamped onto the envelope front and colored the same manner. I adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap. Lastly, I added several Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to the card front.

I love the clean design of this card as it really makes the images pop! If you would like to recreate this card, you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
