Stampin’ Up! Inked & Tiled Embossed Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

It is Thursday and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you are stopping by my blog first, or if you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog, welcome and thanks for stopping by!

For today’s card I used the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set and the Dainty Delight Dies and some heat embossing to create this Fall themed card. Shout out to Amy Williams, for the inspiration.

For today’s Hop we have a Theme Challenge, and nothing says Fall like a little Copper Clay and Pumpkin Pie!

I started off with a standard card base in Very Vanilla measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4″. On a 5″ x 3-3/4″ panel in Copper Clay, I used the large leaf stamp from the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set and stamped this image all over the panel using VersaMark Ink. Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder was then sprinkled over the stamped images, and I used my Heat Tool to set the embossing powder. Once the embossing powder was set, I used a Blending Brush to blend Early Espresso ink around the edges of the panel, being careful to leave the center of the panel free from any ink blending. The unblended area of the panel appears to glow! This panel was then adhered to a Pumpkin Pie mat measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″, and then this unit was adhered to the card front.

Using the Dainty Delight Dies, I die cut 6 of the small daisy flowers from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and 3 flower centers from Copper Clay cardstock. I layered one flower on top of the other and added a flower center to each for a total of three flowers. Next, I stamped the “Thank you” sentiment in Copper Clay ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock and I used the second to smallest banner die from the Nested Essentials Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was adhered to the card front on the lower right of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. One of the flowers was adhered just above the sentiment using liquid glue and the remaining two flowers were adhered around the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used two lengths of Linen Thread to tie a double bow and this was adhered to the upper right of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot.

For the inside panel, I stamped the same large leaf image in the lower corner using Copper Clay ink. The single flower image from the Inked & Tiled Stamp Set was stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink on either side of the leaf. The panel was adhered to a Pumpkin Pie mat and then this was adhered to the inside of the card.

Partial stamping of the large leaf and single flower were repeated on the envelope front in Copper Clay and Pumpkin Pie ink and I stamped the single flower onto the envelope flap in Pumpkin Pie ink. A Copper Clay Adhesive-Backed Solid Gem was added to the centers of each of the flowers and two additional gems were added to the sentiment label to finish up the card.

Heat embossing always adds a little drama to a card, but when the embossing is in gold against these warm, rich colors, the result is extra special! This card would also work well for a Fall birthday card or a Thanksgiving card!
