Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves Thanksgiving Card for Amy’s Inkin Krew Blog Hop

It’s time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! If you are starting off the Hop from my blog today…Welcome! Our theme for the Hop this month is “Fall Frenzy”, and we can interpret this any way that we’d like. I know you will see a lot of inspiration from my team members in the Hop today so be sure to use the links at the bottom of this blog post to check them out! Let’s go!

My card today celebrates Fall and Thanksgiving using some upcoming products from the Sep-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog, including the Autumn Leaves Bundle and All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper. I also used the Timber 3D Embossing Folder to provide some texture and ink blending on the leaves to give them a glow!

I began by adhering a wood grain pattern panel from the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper pack to a mat in Early Espresso, then adhered this to the front of a Pumpkin Pie card base. A 1-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ strip of Early Espresso cardstock was embossed using the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to the left of the card front. The embossed wood grain on this panel provides some nice texture.

Using the Autumn Leaves Dies, I cut out five small oak leaves and two of the smaller leaves from the set. I used a sponge dauber to blend Old Olive ink around the edges of the oak leaves and the two smaller leaves. A separate sponge dauber was used to blend Pumpkin Pie ink onto the centers of the oak leaves. Four of the ink blended oak leaves were adhered to the embossed panel. I used three lengths of Linen Thread and tied a large, loopy triple bow. The bow was adhered to the lower third of the card front, and just to the right of the embossed panel, using a small amount of Stampin’ Seal. The sentiment was adhered over the bow using a double stack of Stampin’ Dimensionals. The remaining oak leaf was partially adhered to the lower right of the sentiment and the portion of the leaf hanging over was supported with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The two smaller leaves were tucked slightly under the top of the sentiment label.

On the Very Vanilla inside panel, I partially stamped the oak leaf image in Old Olive ink – twice in opposite corners of the panel. I used a sponge dauber to blend Pumpkin Pie ink onto the centers of the leaves. The panel was adhered to a mat in Early Espresso then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same oak leaf image was stamped onto the envelope front in Old Olive ink and Pumpkin Pie ink was blended onto the centers of the leaves. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and the excess paper was trimmed away from the flap. Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots were adhered to the card front.
