Inky Bee Stampers

Have you checked out the Little Dreamers Bundle from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog yet? I highly recommend that you do! While the sentiments in the set are for congratulating new parents and welcoming new babies, this set could easily be used to make some adorable birthday cards for young children just by pulling a Happy Birthday sentiment from another stamp set! The Little Dreamers Bundle, and a pretty print from the Inked Botanicals 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper were used to create today’s card. The print I chose in Lost Lagoon actually has the look of sparkling stars…this was a happy coincidence!

I started off by adhering a panel of the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper to the front of a Lemon Lolly card base. I stamped the image of the sleeping cow using Tuxedo Black Momento ink then die cut the image with the coordinating die from the Little Dreamers Dies set. I used the same dies to cut out small and large clouds from white cardstock and a moon and multiple stars from Lemon Lolly cardstock.

A length of Lemon Lolly Sheer Ribbon was folded in half and adhered with a small amount of Stampin’ Seal on the lower right corner of the card front. The sentiment label was placed over top of the folded ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tucked one of the clouds just under the upper left corner of the sentiment label and adhered it to the card front using liquid glue. The cow was colored in using Smoky Slate and Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends, then adhered just above the cloud and sentiment label using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Next, the remaining clouds were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the moon and stars were adhered using liquid glue.

For the inside panel, I stamped the image of the shooting star onto the upper left corner and colored the image with a Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend. An additional sentiment was stamped onto the panel and the image of the cow was stamped onto the lower right corner. I used the same Stampin’ Blends to color in the cow as I did for the front of the card. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping and coloring of the shooting star on the envelope front. A piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope. Lastly, Wink of Stella was used to brush some sparkle onto all of the stars on the card front.

The Little Dreamers Bundle includes additional adorable images, such as a lion holding a balloon, a leaping elephant, and a little chipmunk holding a butterfly net! Too cute!
