Inky Bee Stampers

How much fun is this adorable red truck bringing a special delivery of Christmas wishes?! I used the Trucking Along Stamp Set and the Glorious Gingham 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create today’s card. The Trucking Along Stamp Set is part of a Bundle set which also includes a punch. This has been a very popular Bundle and unfortunately the punch is currently unavailable. The good news is that the punch is expected to be restocked by October…so there will still be time to order the punch before Christmas! More good news is that you can still create awesome cards with just the stamp set!

I started off with a card base from Real Red cardstock. I added a panel of the Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper in Pretty Peacock to the card front. From a 4-3/4″ x 1″ strip of red cardstock, I cut a banner on one end of the strip and adhered this to the card front also. I used the largest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set to cut out a Basic White square and stamped the detailed truck image and the “Special Delivery” sentiment onto the die cut square using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The two-step stamps from the Trucking Along Stamp Set were used to stamp the Christmas Tree onto the back of the truck using Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock inks. You might not think to use these ink colors for greenery…but they actually work really well for this Christmas Tree!

A variety of Stampin’ Blends were used to color in the truck image, and I used a Stampin’ Blend Color Lifter to lift a white highlight on each of the truck’s fenders and the front of the truck hood. The “Farm Fresh” image was also stamped onto the truck’s door in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The stamped and colored square was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel I stamped the “Wishing you a festive Christmas” sentiment in Real Red ink. The truck image was partially stamped onto the lower portion of the panel in Tuxedo Black Memento ink two times. The front half of the truck was stamped onto the lower right corner and the back half of the truck was stamped onto the lower left corner. I also used the two-step Christmas tree stamps to stamp the tree in the truck bed using Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock inks. The same Stampin’ Blends were used to color in the truck images and the panel was adhered to a Real Red mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

I used white Herringbone Ribbon to tie a bow and the bow was adhered to the card front – just above the white square and over top of the red banner strip. I used a Real Red Stampin’ Blend marker to color three Rhinestone Basic Jewels, then adhered the rhinestones to the card front. I love using Blends to color the Rhinestone Basic Jewels so that they coordinate with my project! The truck image was partially stamped and then colored on the envelope front, and I added a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed away the excess paper from the flap to finish up the card.
