Inky Bee Stampers

This card was created using the Timeless Charm Bundle (an Online Exclusive which will be available on July 6) and the pretty Delightfully Eclectic 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. This is such a creative fun fold and credit goes out to Sue Campfield for the card base dimensions and instruction. Let’s get started!

I love to dive right into a good novel and with today’s modern conveniences most of the books I read these days are electronic versions. But I remember the days when I would buy a hard cover book with a shiny dust jacket on the outside to protect the book. Remember those? Hence the name for this card…a Book Jacket Fold!

This card consists of two card bases which are adhered to each other. There is the “Book Jacket” piece and the “Book Spine” and the “Front” of the book. From the “Book Spine” portion of the card, the scorelines form a square tube and this becomes the spine of the book. The second portion of the card is the “Book Jacket” or “Dust Cover” of the book. After forming the tube of the Book Spine, this piece was adhered to the “Book Jacket” to give us a right-opening card and lots of space to add pretty designer series paper!

I went with a pretty floral print from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper and matted this to Bubble Bath cardstock for the front panel. The same floral print and the reverse of this print, a geometric pattern, was added to an additional Bubble Bath mat for the right panel and a sentiment was added to the panel as well. Using the Timeless Charm Dies I die cut the double flower image in white and then used Bubble Bath, Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to color the image. This was then adhered to a rectangle which was cut from the Deckled Rectangles Dies and the flower image was adhered to the card front.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside panel. I second generation stamped the image of the dots in Bubble Bath ink across and down the side of the panel. The panel was then matted to a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock then adhered to the inside of the card.

The front of the envelope was stamped with one of the leaf images from the Timeless Charm Stamp Set and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap. To finish off the card I added several pink Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins around the flower on the card front.
