Stampin’ Up! Terrific Toadstools Thank You Card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you’re hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog or you’re starting off with my blog, welcome and thanks for stopping by! We have a fun sketch challenge for the Hop today so be sure to use the links below to hop around for more inspiration!

My card was created using the fun Terrific Toadstools Bundle (available on January 7) and the Toadstool Gardens 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (available free with a $60 order during Sale-A-Bration beginning on January 7). I adore this paper and this bundle!

And here is our sketch challenge…

I adhered a strip of the Melon Mambo cross hatch patterned paper to a panel of the leaf print from the Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper, then adhered this to the front of an Early Espresso card base. I used a third paper – an Early Espresso print – and second-generation stamped the small toadstool image using Early Espresso ink. I then used the Terrific Toadstools Punch to punch out the toadstool tops. A third toadstool was stamped in Melon Mambo ink onto a piece of white cardstock and then punched out. I used the punch to also punch out three toadstool stems from Early Espresso cardstock then adhered the stems to their tops.

The toadstools were adhered across the center strip of designer series paper with the middle toadstool popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A bow was tied using Linen Thread and adhered to the stem on the center mushroom. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of the Early Espresso print from the Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper then I used the small rectangular die from the Something Fancy Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was then adhered across the toadstool stems using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ends of the Linen Thread bow hang under the sentiment label.

An additional sentiment was stamped onto the inside panel in Melon Mambo ink and I stamped the three-toadstool image in Melon Mambo and Early Espresso. I also stamped the small mushroom in Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso inks. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the toadstools on the envelope front and adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap. To finish up the card I added three Melon Mambo Glossy Dots to the card front.
