Inky Bee Stampers

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone is enjoying time with family or friends today…or both! It’s time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. If you’re reading this, thanks so much for stopping by! We have a fun challenge today so let’s get started.

My card for today was created using the Decorative Trees Bundle and the Reindeer Days 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and it is a simple and fun Z Fold!

Our challenge for today is a theme challenge to create a project with Evergreens or Trees.

I started with a Garden Green card base measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. A pine tree print from the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper was selected and panels were matted to Granny Apple Green cardstock then added to the card front and the two inside sections of the card base.

Using the Deckled Rectangles Dies, I die cut two rectangles using the 3rd from largest die and one rectangle using the 4th from largest die from white cardstock. One of the larger panels was adhered to the 2″ wide section on the card front and the rectangle was centered from top to bottom and left to right on the closed card front.

The pine branch image was stamped in Garden Green ink onto a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock then I used the tree outline die from the Decorative Trees Dies to cut out the image. From Gold Foil I die cut the tree trim, star and tree trunk. These were adhered to the die cut tree. The tree was then adhered and centered onto the small die cut white rectangle using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then this panel was adhered to the larger rectangle on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the remaining large die cut rectangle, I partially stamped the tree outline image in Garden Green ink, then stamped the pine branch fill in Granny Apple Green ink. The “Season’s Greetings” sentiment was stamped towards the upper right of the panel in Garden Green ink. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card base, taking care that it was not visible when the card base was fully closed.

I repeated stamping of the tree on the envelope front and adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap. Lastly, multiple Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots were added to the tree on the card front.
