Time once again for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! If you are hopping over from Terry Lynn’s blog or you are starting off with my blog…welcome and thanks so much for stopping by! Links for the Hop are included below, so be sure to hop around for more inspiration.
I used the Hang an Ornament Bundle and some specialty papers to create this fun and glimmery holiday card. The Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder provides some nice texture (along with the Glimmer Paper) and the diagonal stripe from the Take a Bow Designer Series paper adds a nice pop of color.

We have a sketch challenge for the Hop today.

A white cardstock panel was first embossed using the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. The panel was then cut down to 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″. A 5-3/8″ x 1-1/4″ strip of the diagonal stripe Take a Bow Designer Series Paper was then adhered towards the bottom of the embossed panel. The panel was then adhered to the front of a Granny Apple Green card base.

Using the Hang an Ornament Dies, I die cut three ornaments from the Festive Glimmer Paper – one in each color. The ornament toppers and hooks were die cut from gold Textured Metallic Specialty Paper. The ornaments were assembled then adhered to the front of the card. The center Cherry Cobbler ornament was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The “All is Merry” sentiment from the Hang an Ornament Stamp Set was stamped onto a scrap piece of white cardstock in Cherry Cobbler, then I used the coordinating die from the Hang an Ornament Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment label was adhered to the center of the Cherry Cobbler ornament.
An additional sentiment from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set was stamped onto the inside panel in Cherry Cobbler ink. I used the Hang an Ornament Stamp Set to stamp berries and holly onto the lower corner of the panel in Granny Apple Green and Cherry Cobbler inks. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the holly and berries onto the envelope front and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap. As an optional step, I used a white gel pen to draw a small highlight onto the berries on the card front, inside panel and envelope front. Three green Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins were added to the card front to complete the project.

I was having trouble getting good photos of this card – maybe all of the sparkle. I gave up after several attempts. The card is much brighter in person!
The Hang an Ornament Bundle is at a great price point and there is lots you can do with this Bundle! Here are a few ideas for you…
I created an ornament (shown below) by cutting one ornament from designer series paper and the other side of the ornaments was stamped in Real Red on white cardstock. The two pieces were adhered together (wrong sides together) then I decorated the DSP side of the ornament with a decorative white strip, colored in five Rhinestones with a Real Red Stampin’ Blend, then adhered them to the white strip. Some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine was added at the top! This double-sided ornament would be perfect for use as a gift tag, too! Or, how about embossing the ornaments in a pretty metallic? Or create a polka-dot ornament. The possibilities are endless! Decorate your ornaments however you like!
