Inky Bee Stampers

I started off with a white panel and second generation stamped the rain image across the top half of the card in Fresh Freesia ink. The image of the girl holding the umbrella was then stamped onto the panel in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used Stampin’ Blends in Fresh Freesia, Copper Clay and Basic Black to color in the image. The Umbrella Days Dies were used to die cut a cloud and the umbrella panels from a piece of Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper. I chose a solid print in Fresh Freesia for the cloud and a flower print for the umbrella panels. The umbrella panels were paper pieced over the stamped image of the umbrella on the panel and the cloud was adhered towards the upper left of the panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was then adhered to a Fresh Freesia mat, then adhered to the front of a Gorgeous Grape card base.

The “Be brave” sentiment from the Umbrella Days Stamp Set was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock. I then used one of the Stylish Shapes Dies circles to cut out the sentiment and additionally cut out a slightly larger circle from Gorgeous Grape cardsock. The sentiment was adhered to the Gorgeous Grape circle and this was adhered to the lower right of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I repeated second generation stamping of the rain image onto the inside panel using Fresh Freesia ink then stamped “The storm will end and the sun will shine again” sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink. The image of the little dog was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the lower left of the panel and I used a Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil to color in the dog. The Umbrella Days Dies includes a die to cut out a little jacket for the dog and I cut one of these from a Fresh Freesia print from the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper and adhered the jacket to the dog. The panel was adhered to a Fresh Freesia mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

Three small Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were adhered to the card front. I repeated stamping and coloring of the dog on the envelope front and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap to complete the project.
