Inky Bee Stampers

The Gift Bags Combo Pack is a new Online Exclusive item that will be available on November 5 in the online store! The Gift Bags Combo Pack is part of the Marbled Elegance Suite but can be purchased separately. The Gift Bags Combo Pack includes a total of 16 bags – 8 small bags and 8 large bags. Decorate these bags for any occasion. For today’s projects I have used the Sweetest Star Bundle (stamp set and punch). These bags are food safe, too! The small bag measures approximately 3-1/4″ x 2″ x 3-3/4″. The large bag measures approximately 4-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ x 5-3/4″.

For the large bag I stamped the gingerbread man star three times onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock using Early Espresso ink. The gingerbread men were colored using White Pigment Ink and Stampin’ Blends. The “iced” edges of the gingerbread men were dusted with Wink of Stella. Each of the gingerbread men were adhered to a circle cut from the Take a Bow Designer Series Paper using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The circles were then adhered to the bag front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The “Sweet Wishes” sentiment was stamped onto a 1/2″ strip of Basic White cardstock and I cut angled ends on each side of the sentiment label. The label was adhered over top of one of the gingerbread men using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermint embellishments over the stamped buttons on the gingerbread men. I used a 1/4″ hole punch to punch two holes through the front and back of the bag top. Several lengths of Silver Trim and Real Red & White Baker’s Twine were used to tie the bag closed at the top with a bow.

To decorate the small bag I stamped the Mrs. Santa image from the Sweetest Star Stamp Set onto white cardstock and colored in the image using Real Red, Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. A square from the Stylish Shapes Dies was die cut from a red and white striped print from the Take A Bow Designer Series Paper. The Mrs. Clause image was adhered to the center of the square using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This was then adhered to the front of the bag using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The “Baking Spirits Bright” sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock, and I used the smallest square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was then added to the front of the bag. I used a 1/4″ hole punch to punch a hole through the front and back of the top of the bag and used Silver Trim and Real Red & White Baker’s Twine to tie the bag closed with a bow.

These little bags were a lot of fun to decorate! While the bags are part of a Valentine’s suite (the Marbled Elegance Suite Collection available on November 5) they will make excellent additions to your crafting stash just in time for the Christmas season!
