Inky Bee Stampers

I have a quick and easy project for you today! A hostess gift tag created from the Humble Home Bundle, Sentimental Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Greetings of the Season Dies. Make a few of these gift tags ahead of time so you’re all ready for the holiday party season!

I selected a Pecan Pie snowflake pattern from the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper, and I cut two tags using the largest tag die from the Greetings of the Season Dies set. I then adhered the tags together so that the snowflake pattern would show on both sides of the tag. Doubling these tags up gives some good stability to the tag also! From the Humble Home Stamp Set, I stamped the brick house image onto a piece of white cardstock in second-generation Pecan Pie ink, then I stamped the house roof in Early Espresso ink. The “From our house to yours” sentiment was stamped onto the front of the house in Real Red ink. I used the Humble Home Builder Punch to punch out the house. I also punched out a small heart from Real Red cardstock and added this just above the sentiment on the house.

A circle in white cardstock was die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies and the punched house was adhered to the circle using liquid glue. The circle unit was then adhered to one side of the tag using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched out a second house using the Humble Home Builder Punch from white cardstock. The “Merry Christmas” sentiment was stamped onto this house in Real Red ink, then I stamped the small wreath above the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink. I used a Real Red and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends to color in the wreath. This second house was adhered to the back of the tag using liquid glue.

I cut a 12″ piece of Linen Thread and folded the thread in half. The folded end of the thread was threaded through the hole at the top of the tag then the loose ends of the thread were looped through the folded end of the thread and pulled tight. A short length of Pecan Pie Center Striped Ribbon was tied in a knot around the Linen Thread just above the top of the tag. The ends were trimmed as needed. To finish off the tag I added three Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to the tag front and one gem to the house on the back of the tag.
