Inky Bee Stampers

Here is another sneak peek of new Online Exclusive products that will be available on November 5! I used the Happy Hibiscus Bundle for today’s card. The Happy Hibiscus Bundle includes a stamp set, dies and a hybrid embossing folder. This is such a beautiful set!

I started off by using the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder to emboss a white cardstock panel measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″. The embossed panel was then adhered to a Basic Black mat, then adhered to the front of a Melon Mambo card base. The sentiment for the card front was stamped in Melon Mambo ink and I used the circle die from the Happy Hibiscus Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was adhered to the upper right of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The two step stamps from the Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set were used to stamp the cluster of three flowers, first in Melon Mambo, then Bubble Bath inks. I placed the largest die from the Happy Hibiscus Dies into the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder then positioned the stamped flowers into the folder and used my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out the flowers. If you’re not familiar with hybrid embossing folders, they both emboss and cut images at the same time! Using the Happy Hibiscus Dies, I cut out multiple leaves from Granny Apple Green cardstock and several small flowers from Melon Mambo cardstock. The stamped and embossed hibiscus flowers were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the leaves were tucked around the flowers using liquid glue. The smaller Melon Mambo flowers were adhered randomly along the left side of the card front using liquid glue. Beautiful!

On the inside panel I stamped an additional sentiment in Melon Mambo ink, then I stamped the crosshatch image from the Happy Hibiscus Stamp Set in Bubble Bath ink on either side of the sentiment. I used the two step stamps to stamp just the large hibiscus image onto the lower left corner of the panel. The panel was adhered to a black mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

Going back to the card front, I cut a short length of Large Check Ribbon and used a Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blend to color the ribbon. Once the ribbon was dry, I folded it in half and tucked the folded ribbon under one of the hibiscus flowers using a Mini Glue Dot. A Melon Mambo Shiny Sequin was added to each of the small Melon Mambo flowers. I repeated stamping of the large hibiscus flower on the envelope front, and I used the crosshatch image and stamped this across the envelope flap in Bubble Bath ink to complete the card.

The Happy Hibiscus Bundle is perfect for creating upbeat and bright birthday cards, thinking of you, congratulations and friendship cards. It’s like sending happy hugs in the mail!
