Inky Bee Stampers

I have another Online Exclusives sneak peek for you today. I used the Umbrella Days Bundle to create this pretty friendship card. The Umbrella Days Bundle will be available for customer orders in the online store on November 5.

When I first saw the Umbrella Days Bundle my mind went immediately to creating a silhouette in black. The brights pops of color on the umbrella and boots were kind of a happy accident and I love the look! I started off with a 5-1/4″ x 4″ white panel and used the raindrop stamp to third generation stamp Night of Navy raindrops across the top half of the panel. Night of Navy was chosen to coordinate with the designer series paper used on the card. I also stamped a sentiment in the lower right corner of this panel in Night of Navy ink.

I used the Umbrella Days Dies to die cut the silhouette of the girl, an umbrella handle, a bush from Pretty Peacock cardstock and a cloud from black cardstock. I used the provided die to cut panels for the umbrella from a floral print from the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper and adhered these to the silhouette image. I stamped the girl’s boots onto a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock in Crushed Curry ink, then I used the die to cut out just the boots. I then fussy cut around the top of the boots and adhered them to the silhouette image. The silhouette was then adhered to the left of the card front using liquid glue. I adhered the Pretty Peacock bush and the black cloud to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Note that the dies used to cut out the bush and cloud are interchangeable. The panel was adhered to a Berry Burst mat then adhered to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base.

I adhered a strip of coordinating designer series paper to the bottom of the inside panel. No sentiment is included on this panel. The panel was adhered to a Berry Burst mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

To finish up the card, I adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Three Pretty Peacock Blooming Pearls were adhered to the card front.
