Inky Bee Stampers

I love when a stamp set offers get well sentiments and comforting images and the Embraced with Love Stamp Set provides both! The set includes three adorable animal images and a variety of sentiments suitable for get well wishes or friendship cards. This card comes together quickly, too!

I started off by adhering a panel of a Basic Beige print from the Season of Elegance 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base. The bunny and bear image from the Embraced with Love Stamp Set was stamped onto a Basic White cardstock square measuring 3″ x 3″ in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then used Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, Pecan Pie, Daffodil Delight, Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Poppy Parade and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends to color in the image. A Stampin’ Blend Color Lifter was used to lift some color from the bear to indicate steam rising from the cup. The patchwork quilt was lots of fun to color…it really comes to life!

I used the second from largest square die from the stylish shapes to cut out the colored image, then this was adhered to a 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper in a Pretty Peacock print. The square unit was then adhered to the front of the card. The sentiment was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink, and I used the long skinny label die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut it out. Stampin’ Seal was applied to the back of the sentiment label, and I adhered a length of Pretty Peacock & Gold Metallic Ribbon to the label. The label unit was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A strip of the Basic Beige and Pretty Peacock print designer series papers were adhered to the inside panel. I chose to leave the inside of the card free of sentiments. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Two Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems were added to either side of the sentiment label to complete the card.
