We have a couple of little ghosts starring on today’s Halloween card…and they aren’t the scrary variety…they are actually quite cute! I used the Playful Ghosts Stamp Set to create this fun card along with a few other products. I also used various techniques on the card. You can find the Playful Ghosts Stamp Set in the Online Exclusives section of the Online Store. This is a stand-alone stamp set so you might have missed it!
I started off with a Highland Heather panel measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″ and I second generation stamped the “Boo!” sentiment all across the panel in Highland Heather ink. I then used a Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend to splatter ink across the panel. The panel was then embossed using the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder then adhered to the card front.

The flying ghost image, bats and stars and the “Happy Halloween” sentiment were stamped onto a piece of white cardstock measuring about 3-1/2″ x 3-1/2″. I used Highland Heather, Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends to color in the ghost and Wild Wheat and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends to color in the broom. The ghost was shaded using a Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil (just under the hat and cape). I created a circle “negative” to draw in the moon behind the ghost using a Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend. The broom was dusted with Wink of Stella and I drew a sparkly trail behind the broom with more Wink of Stella. (It’s a magic broom after all!) The completed circle was adhered to the center right of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A length of Large Check Ribbon was colored with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend then tied into a bow. The bow was adhered just to the left of the circle using a Mini Glue Dot.
The “Boo!” sentiment was stamped onto the inside panel using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The image of the ghost popping out of the pumpkin was stamped towards the bottom of the panel – also in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The pumpkin and ghost were colored in using Stampin’ Blends and the ghost was shaded with a Basic Gray Watercolor Pencil. The panel was adhered to a Highland Heather mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

The image of the two pumpkins were stamped onto the envelope front and colored in with Stampin’ Blends and a Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencil. A piece of Pumpkin Pie striped paper from the Brights Designer Series Paper pack was adhered to the envelope flap. Lastly, three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were added to the circle on the card front.

I thoroughly enjoyed creating this Halloween card! If you would like to recreate this card, you will find the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below. Happy crafting!
