It’s time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop! If you are starting off the Hop from my blog or you are coming over from Amy’s blog…welcome! Our theme for the Hop this month is “Fall Frenzy”, and we can interpret this any way that we’d like. I know you will see a lot of inspiration from my team members in the Hop today so be sure to use the links at the bottom of this blog post to check them out! Here is the card I created for the Hop…

I used products from the upcoming Splendid Autumn Suite Collection including the Autumn Expressions Bundle, Splendid Autumn 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper, Whild Wheat Rustic Striped Ribbon and Faux Glass Dots. Just beautiful! The Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper includes many beautiful fall scenes, but I opted to use the “B” side of one of the papers for today’s card along with some ink blending. I like to take inspiration from nature and here is what inspired today’s card. A photo of a beautiful Fall sunrise! This photo was taken from our back deck.

A panel from a Mossy Meadow print from the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper was adhered to an Old Olive mat. I used Blending Brushes to blend Gorgeous Grape, Wild Wheat, Cajun Craze and Cherry Cobbler inks across a 5-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ white cardstock strip. I used the wheat image from the Autumn Expressions Stamp Set and stamped this image multiple times across the bottom of the ink blended strip. The strip was then adhered to a slightly wider piece of Gold Foil, then adhered to the designer series paper panel. This unit was then adhered to the front of a Cherry Cobbler card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used just half of the large frame die included in the Autumn Expressions Dies set to cut out the large Wild Wheat sentiment label, then stamped the “Grateful for You” sentiment onto the label in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Before adhering the sentiment label to the card front, I adhered a length of the Wild Wheat Rustic Striped Ribbon and a length of Gold Trim to the upper right of the card front, then adhered the sentiment label over top of the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the Autumn Expressions Dies again, I die cut a leaf from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and a leaf sprig was die cut from Old Olive cardstock. These die cuts were adhered together, then adhered to the lower right corner of the sentiment label.
On the inside panel I used 1″ wide piece of Post It Tape to mask off the right edge of the panel. I repeated the ink blending process down this section and then stamped the wheat image across the bottom in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I stamped an additional sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then adhered the panel to a Wild Wheat mat then adhered this to the inside of the card.

Without reinking my Blending Brushes, I blended the same colors across the bottom portion of the envelope front and stamped the wheat image over this area. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap. Three Faux Glass Dots were adhered to the card front to finish up the project.

Products from the Splendid Autumn Suite Collection will be available beginning on September 4! That’s just a few short weeks away…and you can plan on seeing more projects in the coming weeks using products from this beautiful suite! Carol, I love your card. When I first scrolled through w/o reading I thought the picture you had taken was a piece of the DSP and was looking forward to receiving mine to use that piece. 😊💖
