Inky Bee Stampers

When I am in need of a truly lovely card that is quick and easy to put together, I turn to the Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. I cut down a piece of the Thoughtful Journey 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to 5″ x 3-3/4″ so that the thistle scene was fairly centered onto the panel. The panel was then adhered to a white mat measuring 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″, then adhered to the front of a Boho Blue card base. The white mat provides a crisp break between the Boho Blue sky and Boho Blue card base.

I used the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch to punch out a white sentiment label and a Boho Blue mat. The sentiment from the Thoughtful Wishes Stamp Set was stamped in Boho Blue onto the white label then this label was adhered to the Boho Blue hexagon so that just the top edge of the Boho Blue hexagon was peeking above the white label. The label was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel, I stamped a second sentiment from the Thoughtful Wishes Stamp Set in Boho Blue ink, then stamped the thistle image in Petunia Pop ink. I used Petunia Pop and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends to color in the image then the panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the thistle image onto the envelope front and colored the image in using Petunia Pop and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of the designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap using a pair of paper snips. I used a Boho Blue Stampin’ Blend to color a length of Linen Thread. Once the thread was completely dry, I tied a small bow and adhered the bow to the card front using a Mini Glue Dot. Three Misty Moonlight Pearls were adhered to the card front.

Back to School Sales Tax Holiday (US only)
