Stampin’ Up! Potions & Spells Halloween Greetings Card

If you are in need of a Halloween card for the kids or grandkids, the Potions & Spells Halloween Bundle is perfect for the little ones! Nothing too scary!

The Lemon Lime Twist background of the card front came from the Bright & Beautiful 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and the woodgrain shelves were created using the Country Woods 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. Both of these papers go on sale today, along with other papers from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog, and will be 15% off through the month of August while supplies last! I stamped the sentiment directly onto the Lemon Lime Twist panel as well as the bubbles image on the lower right of the panel.

I used the Potions & Spells Stamp Set to stamp the crow and stacked books onto a piece of white cardstock then used Stampin’ Blends to color in the images. The Potions & Spells Dies were also used to die cut all of the additional pieces for the card front, including a partially cut cauldron top. I arranged the 1/2″ strips of woodgrain print designer series paper onto a Lemon Lime Twist designer series paper panel and staggered the shelves. The crow, books and bottles, along with the cauldron top were all arranged onto the panel, then when I was happy with the placement, I adhered everything down with liquid glue with the exception of the cauldron rim and the bubbles. These were adhered to the panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was adhered to a Granny Apple Green mat, then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The bubbles, and bottle fills were dusted with Wink of Stella to give them a little sparkle.

On the inside panel, I stamped the Halloween sentiment in Early Espresso ink then stamped the bubbles image in Granny Apple Green ink. I also stamped some stars across the panel in Granny Apple Green ink. The bubbles and stars were dusted with Wink of Stella. The panel was adhered to a Granny Apple Green mat, then adhered to the inside of the card. You may notice some additional highlights on the stamped bubbles. These highlights were created using a white gel pen.

I repeated stamping of the bubbles and stars on the envelope front and added some Wink of Stella on these images. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap with a pair of paper snips. To finish up the card I adhered multiple green Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins to the front of the card.

I had so much fun pulling this card together! I hope you’ll give it a try! You can download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.
