Stampin’ Up! Forever Forest Masculine Birthday Card

We all know how hard it can be to create masculine birthday cards sometimes. The Forever Forest Stamp Set and the Forever Forest Dies combined with the Meandering Meadows 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper are perfect for creating a masculine card! I also used sentiments from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set and the Greetings of the Season Dies to complete the card.

I chose a paper from the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper pack that had a muted look in purples and blues. This paper looks just like a distant mountain and sky scene! I trimmed the panel down to 5″ x 3-3/4″ and matted it to a piece of Highland Heather then adhered this to the front of a Night of Navy card base.

I used the Forever Forest Dies to cut out five pine trees in various sizes from Night of Navy cardstock. I also die cut three boulders from Highland Heather cardstock. The die cuts were arranged towards the bottom of the card and adhered down with liquid glue. The sentiments from the Everyday Greetings Stamp Set were stamped in Night of Navy onto a piece of white cardstock. I then used the Greetings of the season to cut out the sentiment as well as a Highland Heather banner die. The banner was adhered to the back of the white sentiment label then I adhered this to the top left of the card front.

I stamped additional sentiments onto the inside panel in Night of Navy ink from the Everyday Greetings Stamp set, then I stamped the pine trees from the Forever Forest Stamp Set along the bottom of the panel – also in Night of Navy. The star and moon images were stamped towards the top of the panel, just above the sentiment, in Highland Heather ink. The panel was adhered to a Highland Heather mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I tied a small Linen Thread bow and adhered this to the right of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot. Several Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were added around the card front. The pine trees from the Forever Forest Stamp Set were stamped onto the envelope front in Night of Navy ink then I stamped the stars and moon image just above the trees in Highland Heather ink. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used my paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap to complete the card.

This card was made especially for our youngest son to celebrate his birthday! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
