Today’s card uses the Pocket Thoughts Bundle. This bundle includes a stamp set and dies. The die set includes three dies that will cut three different sizes of pockets. Very handy when you want to create an interactive card, or a gift card holder! I went the interactive route on this card!
I started with a panel of paper from the Lily Pond Lane Designer Series paper in a Gray Grantie speckled print. Before adhering this panel to a Pretty in Pink mat, I stamped small hearts around the perimeter of the panel in Gray Granite ink. This creates a little visual interest on the panel. The panel was then matted and adhered to the card front. I selected a second print from the Lily Pond Lane Designer Series Paper – this one in a white and Pretty in Pink check – and I used the medium sized die to cut out a pocket. I burnished the die cut along the embossed score lines, then adhered the pocket to the card front.

A panel of white cardstock was cut to 3-1/2″ x 2-1/4″ and I used a single hole punch to punch a small hole at the top center of the panel. The arrow image was stamped just below the punched hole and I stamped the “Yay for You!” sentiment in Petunia Pop ink. Small hearts were stamped around the sentiment in Pretty in Pink ink. A short length of Silver & White Sheer Ribbon was looped through the punched hole and the panel was inserted into the pocket.
The cupcake image was stamped onto a scrap piece of white cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and I used Stampin’ Blends in Petunia Pop, Pretty in Pink and Melon Mambo to color in the image. A Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend was used to draw in a table surface just below the cupcake. The second from largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies was used to cut out the image. The circle was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The “Happy Birthday” sentiment was stamped onto the inside panel in Petunia Pop ink and small hearts were stamped around the sentiment in Pretty in Pink ink. The panel was adhered to a Pretty in Pink mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the small hearts on the envelope front and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was added to the envelope flap. I tied a small bow from Silver & White Sheer Ribbon and this was adhered just below the cupcake image on the card front using a Mini Glue Dot. A single, pink Adhesive-Backed Dappled Dot was added to the top of the cupcake to complete the card.

The Pocket Thoughts Bundle is a lot of fun and will come in handy to create gift card holders around the holidays! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for another project. I will be sharing a special paper folding technique with you! Have a great day!
