Stampin’ Up! Notes of Nature Elegant Note Card

Today’s card was created using the Notes of Nature Bundle, Lovely & Sweet Dies and Nature’s Sweetness 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper along with some Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper. I’m calling this an elegant note card because of the richness provided by Pecan Pie and Pebbled Path and all of the wonderful gold accents…beautiful!

I chose a Pebbled Path and gold script paper from the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper and adhered a panel to a Distressed Gold mat and adhered this to the front of a Pecan Pie card base. On a panel of white cardstock I second generation stamped the grid image in Pebbled Path ink. I then used the notebook die from the Notes of Nature Dies to cut down the left edge. I then tore the right edge of the cardstock and used a blending brush to blend Pebbled Path ink around the edges of the panel to give it a distressed look. The panel was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals with the panel set at an angle.

Using the Notes of Nature Dies several greenery sprigs were cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock. These were adhered towards the top of the white distressed panel using liquid glue. I applied a small amount of Stampin’ Seal just below the greenery sprigs and loosley looped Linen Thread several times. I selected the cocoa bean image from the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper and die cut this using the Lovely & Sweet Dies. The iamge was colored in using Pecan Pie and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. The Stampin’ Blends do not cover the gold accents on the paper so coloring this iamge worked perfectly! This image was then adhered to the front of the white distressed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel a sentiment was stamped at the top of the panel using Pebbled Path ink. The Field Notes image was second generation stamped onto the lower left corner of the panel. I then stamped the greenery image over top of the Field Notes image and the leaves were colored in using Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. The panel was adhered to a Distressed Gold mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same Field Note image was second generation stamped onto the envelope front in Pebbled Path ink. Without reinking my Blending Brush, I blended Pebbled Path ink around the bottom corners of the envelope to add a distressed look. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap using a pair of paper snips. I added three Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds to the card front to finish up the project.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card…I know I had a lot of fun creating it! If you would like to recreate this card yourself, you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below. Have a great day!
