Happy Friday and happy first day of March! March means warmer weather is on its way…yay! Today’s card was created with the upcoming Magnolia Mood Bundle. This bundle will be available as an Online Exclusive in the online store beginning on March 5!
I recently held a watercolor pencil class and the image on this card front was one of the images I prepared for that class. The iamge was second generation stamped in Smokey Slate ink then I used Old Olive and Crushed Curry watercolor pencils to color in the image. The trick with using watercolor pencils is to build up light layers. Because I was working on cardstock, minimal water was used to activate the color. Once this image was colored I used the coordinating die from the Magnolia Mood Dies to cut out the image. Two leaves were also die cut from Old Olive cardstock.

The sentiment was stamped in Crushed Curry ink onto the label and I then second generation stamped the single leaf image multiple times across the label in Old Olive ink. The sentiment label was double matted against Crushed Curry and Old Olive, then adhered to the bottom of the card. A loose Linen Bow was adhered to the card front and the large die cut magnolia image was adhered over top of the bow using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The die cut leaves were then tucked in around the larger image.
The smaller magnolia image was stamped in Old Olive ink onto the inside panel and the panel was adhered to a Crushed Curry mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the small magnolia image onto the envelope front. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I used paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the envelope. Three Iridescent Foil Gems were added to the card front to finish off the card.

If you enjoy coloring with Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Write Markers or Watercolor Pencils, the open, large magnolia image in the Magnolia Mood Stamp Set is perfect! The details on these stamped images are beautiful! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.

I’m so sorry you’re having trouble accessing the pdf tutorial for the Magnolia Mood Thank You card. Please try again. I just added the link. You referenced the tutorial before this one is also not clickable…I don’t see any issue with my 2/29/24 post. Thanks for your patience and my apologies for the inconvenience!
