Welcome 2024! It is a new year with new possibilities! I have a card for you today created using the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set and Enduring Beauty Dies using watercolor pencils. The Enduring Beauty Bundle comes with Decorative Masks but I didn’t use those today. Instead I colored the large floral image using Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Pencils. This technique is a lot of fun and produces some pretty results! The Enduring Beauty Stamp Set and Dies will be available in a few days…on January 4 from the new January-April 2024 Mini Catalog.
I started by stamping the large floral image from the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set in Smoky Slate ink onto a piece of white cardstock. I used Watercolor Pencils in Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Early Espresso, Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue to color the image. Instead of using a Water Painter I used a size 0 watercolor brush. Since we are working on cardstock it is important to limit the amount of water applied to the cardstock. You can use the smallest Water Painter brush if you don’t have any watercolor brushes. Complete instructions and tips for coloring the image are provided on the linked pdf tutorial below.

Once the image was completely colored, I used the coordinating die from the Enduring Beauty Dies to cut out the image. A 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ white cardstock panel was embossed using the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. The embossed panel was then adhered to the front of a Balmy Blue card base. The colored and die cut floral image was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and was centered from top to bottom and left to right.
Using the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set, the sentiment was stamped onto a scrap piece of white cardstock using Balmy Blue ink. I used the sentiment label die from the Enduring Beauty Dies to cut out the sentiment. Before adhering the sentiment to the card front, I applied a small amount of Stampin’ Seal to the center of the large floral image and adhered a length of Bubble Bath Sheer Ribbon diagonally across the image. The sentiment label was then adhered over top of the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Several die cut rose buds and leaves were then adhered around the large floral image and the ends were tucked under the floral image. Several rose bud die cuts in Bubble Bath cardstock were adhered to the embossed panel around the large foral image.
On the inside panel, I stamped the large floral image from the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set in Bubble Bath ink onto the panel. The “Thanks” sentiment was then stamped at the top of the panel in Balmy Blue ink. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card base.

The large floral image was partially stamped onto the envelope front in Bubble Bath ink. The small bud image was stamped onto the envelope flap to complete the card!

The texture that the embossing provides on the white background along with the softly colored floral image make for a pretty card! This card would also be suitable for a birthday, thinking of you or sympathy card as well.
