Inky Bee Stampers

Today’s sneak peek is a card created with products from the Lighter Than Air Suite! This suite contains paper and embellishments with pretty pastel colors and fun images! The Lighter Than Air Suite will be available very soon…on January 4th from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog.

My card base for this card is a book fold. This is an easy fun fold to make, too! The card base measures 11″ x 4-1/4″ and was scored at 5-1/2″ and 6-3/4″. The narrow 1-1/8″ section of this card is adhered on the inside of the card base to form the “binding” of the fold.

I chose two different patterned papers from the Lighter Than Air 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack and matted these to white cardstock then the panels were adhered to the card front. Before creating the binding of the card, I wrapped Balmy Blue Baker’s Twine vertically around the 1-1/8″ panel two times and tied a bow. I then opened the card base and adhered the 1-1/8″ section to the inside of the base.

Using the Hot Air Balloon Dies, I die cut several clouds from white cardstock, as well as a white banner and white sentiment label. I used the larger balloon die to cut a balloon from one of the patterned papers from the Lighter Than Air Designer Series Paper. Using the basket image from the Hot Air Balloon Stamp Set, I stamped the basket in Crumb Cake ink, then used the coordinating die to cut out the image. The basket was then adhered to the back of the balloon.

The die cut clouds were adhered to the card front towards the top of the card. The “Wish big” sentiment was stamped onto the sentiment label in Fresh Freesia ink, then adhered to the die cut banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The banner and sentiment label unit was then adhered to the balloon front and the balloon was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. How pretty!

On the inside panel, I second generation stamped the large balloon image and basket in Fresh Freesia ink. I then stamped an additional sentiment in the open area of the previously stamped balloon – also in Fresh Freesia ink. The panel was adhered to a white mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

On the envelope front, the large balloon image was partially stamped in Fresh Freesia ink, with the decorative balloon trim second generation stamped. I added a piece of coordinating designer series paper to the envelope flap and used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Several Fresh Freesia Rainbow Dots were added to the card front to finish up the card.
