Inky Bee Stampers

I used the So Very Merry Stamp Set, Deckled Circles Dies, a Circle Punch and the lovely Garden Walk 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper to create today’s card. Sentiments came from one of my favorite holiday stamp sets…the Christmas Classics Stamp Set. Both the Christmas Classics Stamp Set and the Garden Walk Designer Series Paper are set to retire soon! I started off by stamping the image of the angel from the So Very Merry Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The Garden Walk Designer Series Paper pack included several sheets of a holiday print, and this is the print I chose for the background of my card. I let the colors in the paper guide my coloring of the angel. I used Stampin’ Blends in Wild Wheat, Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Pretty Peacock. The image was then punched out using a 2-3/8″ Circle Punch.

I used the Deckled Circles Dies to cut out a medium-sized circle and a small circle from Basic White cardstock. A blending brush was used to blend Wild Wheat ink around the edges of these circles to give them a glow. The stamped and colored angel circle was adhered to the larger of the two circles then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. A sentiment from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set was stamped onto the smaller circle. Just below the large circle I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere several loops of Gold Trim and the sentiment label was also adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel I stamped the bell image two times in the upper left and right corners in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The images were colored in with Poppy Parade and Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blends. I stamped an additional sentiment from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set onto the panel in Wild Wheat then adhered the panel to the inside of the card.

The same bell image was stamped onto the envelope front and colored with Stampin’ Blends. I adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and used my paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Several gold Festive Pearls were added to the card front to complete the project.
