Inky Bee Stampers

I’m dating myself with this card!  Anyone else remember pink Christmas tinsel trees?  We actually had a white tinsel tree in our house…one year it would be decorated with red lights, cardinals and red ornaments and the next year it would be decorated with blue lights, bluebirds and blue ornaments.  As a child I thought it was magical.  Times have really changed! I used the Merriest Trees Bundle and a few other products to create today’s “pretty in pink” Christmas card!

A white 2″ panel of white cardstock was embossed using the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing folder and was then adhered to the left side of the card front. A white and pink stripe print from the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper pack was added to the right of the card front. I used the 8th from the smallest Deckled Circle Die to cut out a circle from Berry Burst cardstock. This was added to the top of the card front. On a piece of Bubble Bath cardstock, I stamped the detailed tree image from the Merriest Trees Stamp Set in VersaMark ink, then sprinkled silver embossing powder over the stamped image and set the embossing powder with my Heat Tool. I used the coordinating die from the Merriest Trees Dies to cut out the image. I also die cut a star from Silver Foil and adhered this to the top of the tree. The tree was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and was placed over the Berry Burst circle.

I used the Deckled Circle Dies again to cut out a white sentiment label and a piece of vellum to serve as a mat for the label. A sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set was stamped onto the the label in Berry Burst ink. The label was then adhered towards the bottom of the card front, slightly overlapping the tree. I die cut several stars from Silver Foil using the Merriest Trees Dies and these were adhered around the tree. A small bow tied from Silver & White Sheer Ribbon was added to the left of the sentiment.

On the inside panel I partially stamped the solid image of the tree in Bubble Bath ink and stamped over this in Berry Burst ink using the detailed tree image. The Merry Christmas sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set was stamped towards the top of the panel in Berry Burst ink. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same tree image was partially stamped onto the envelope front and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap to complete the card.
