It’s time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! If you are starting off the Hop from my blog today, or hopping over from Tara’s blog…Welcome! Our theme for the Hop this month is “Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays”, and we can interpret this any way that we’d like. I know you will see a lot of inspiration from my team members in the Hop today so be sure to use the links at the bottom of this blog post to check them out! Let’s go!

I used the Festive & Fun Stamp Set along with the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper to create this cute Z fold Christmas card! This stamp set is exactly what it says it is…FUN!
I started off with a card base in Shaded Spruce measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. The base was scored at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. I added a pine tree print from the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper to the front and inside panels of the card base.
The giraffe image was stamped onto the left side of a white panel measuring 4-1/2″ x 3-1/8″. I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color in the image of the giraffe, tree, basket and ornaments. A piece of Post It Tape was used to mask off just above the giraffe’s feet and I colored in a floor using a Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend. I also used a blending brush to lightly blend some Lemon Lolly ink around the star on the image.

The sentiment was stamped just to the right of the giraffe and I used the 3rd from largest Deckled Rectangle to cut out the panel. The panel was added to a Poppy Parade mat, then glue was applied to just the left side of the panel then adhered to the far-left panel of the card base (the front panel).

On a second white panel, I stamped an additional sentiment and the small bird image from the Festive & Fun Stamp Set. The bird was colored in with Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends and I used a Gray Granite Stampin’ Blend to add some ground under the bird’s feet. The panel was then adhered to a Poppy Parade mat, then adhered to the inside of the card. When adhering this panel, I was careful to make sure that the panel would be hidden behind the front panel when the card was fully cloded.

The same bird image was stamped onto the envelope front and colored in. I added a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and used a pair of paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Several green Glitter Sequins were added to the card front along with a small bow tied from Metallic Woven Ribbon to complete the card.
