Stampin’ Up! Sending Cheer Christmas Card

I have another Christmas card idea for you today. While the Sending Cheer Bundle makes adorable holiday gift tags, why not use the bundle to make Christmas cards, too! I have created this adorable Christmas card using the gingerbread man image from the Sending Cheer Bundle, along with the Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder and some pretty red ribbon! This card also uses up some white cardstock scraps, too, so a win-win!

Be sure to check back later this week for another holiday card idea and some cute holiday gift card holders at the end of the week using the Sending Cheer Bundle and the Beary Cute Bundle!

I started off by embossing a white cardstock panel using the Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder. The panel was adhered to a Shaded Spruce mat, then this was adhered to the front of a Granny Apple Green card base. Using the stamps from the Sending Cheer Stamp Set, I stamped three gingerbread men in Pecan Pie ink, three sets of holly leaves in Shaded Spruce ink and three sets of holly berries in Cherry Cobbler ink. The faces for the gingerbread men were stamped in Early Espresso ink. The images were die cut using the coordinating dies from the Sending Cheer Dies. I also die cut three sets of small hearts from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. These were then adhered to the fronts of the gingerbread men.

A length of ribbon was added across the bottom of the card front and adhered down using Tear & Tape. Using the Brightest Glow Stamp Set, I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock in Shaded Spruce and used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out the sentiment. The sentiment was then adhered to the card front and positioned over the ribbon. The gingerbread men were added towards the top of the card front and adhered down with liquid glue. The holly and berries were adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The berries were dusted with a little Wink of Stella and I used some Whisper White Craft Ink to add a highlight to the berries.

The “Merry Christmas” sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set was stamped onto the inside panel. Check out the beautiful font on this sentiment! I also stamped holly and berries onto the lower corners of the panel. The panel was adhered to a Shaded Spruce mat and then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same holly and berry images were stamped onto the envelope front and envelope flap. Of course, the berries were dusted with a little Wink of Stella for some sparkle (every holiday card needs sparkle!) and highlights were added to the berries also. To finish up the card I added several Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins to the card front.

This is such a cheerful card! I love the little gingerbread men with their little heart buttons…so cute! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
