Inky Bee Stampers

I have the cutest card to share with you today! Check out this adorable bear sitting in a field of flowers with his honey pot! So cute! This card was created using the Fluffiest Friends Bundle which is a new item coming to Online Exclusives in the online store beginning on November 7. I also used paper from the Masterfully Made 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and a sentiment from the Garden Meadow Stamp Set (also a new item coming to Online Exclusives on November 7).

I chose a floral print from the Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper pack and adhered a panel of this paper to a mat in Berry Burst. Using the third from smallest rectangle die from the Deckled Rectangle Dies, I cut a white panel. I masked off the lower third of the panel and used a Blending Brush to blend Azure Afternoon ink onto the top portion of the panel. I left areas of white to indicate fluffy clouds in the sky. I repositioned my mask, then blended Lemon Lime Twist onto the lower third of the panel. The panel was then adhered to a mat in Berry Burst and adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the Fluffiest Friends Dies, I cut out a branch from Pecan Pie cardstock, multiple leaves from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and a beehive in Crushed Curry cardstock. I used the dark shade of a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to darken the hole on the beehive and the horizontal lines on the hive. Onto a scrap piece of white cardstock I stamped the bear image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color in the bear image then used the coordinating die to cut out the image. I arranged all of the die cut pieces onto the ink blended panel then adhered the pieces down using liquid glue.

The “happy birthday!” sentiment from the Garden Meadow Stamp Set was stamped onto a white sentiment label. I cut a banner end on the left side of the label, then adhered the label to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The bear image was stamped onto the inside panel, along with several sets of flowers and some bees hovering over the bear’s head. The bear, flowers and bees were colored in using a variety of Stampin’ Blends. Without reinking my Blending Brush, I lightly blended Azure Afternoon ink to create a sky on the panel. The panel was adhered to a Berry Burst mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

I repeated stamping of the flowers and bees on the lower corner of the envelope front and ink blended a few Azure Afternoon clouds over the images. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used my paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Lastly, several pink Tinsel Gems were added to the card front.
