Inky Bee Stampers

Here is a quick and easy thank you card using the beautiful image from the Fragrant Forest Stamp Set! This card uses a simple color palette of white and Pretty Peacock and uses minimal supplies.

I started by stamping the Fragrant Forest image onto a Basic White panel measuring 5″ x 3-3/4″ in Pretty Peacock ink. The stamped panel was then adhered to a Pretty Peacock mat measuring 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″ and I made sure the stamped panel was centered onto the mat. The stamped and matted panel was then adhered to a Thick Basic White card base. I used the 3rd from largest octagon die from the Countryside Corners Dies to cut an opening on a white panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″. The die cut frame was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the Around The Bend Stamp Set, I stamped the thank you sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock in Pretty Peacock ink. The smallest octagon die from the Countryside Corners Dies was used to cut out the sentiment. A combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals and liquid glue was used to adhere the sentiment to the lower right of the card front. I used four lengths of Linen Thread to tie a bow and the bow was adhered to the left side of the sentiment label. Three Pretty Peacock Adhesive-Backed Sequins were adhered to the right side of the sentiment label.

The Fragrant Forest image was partially stamped onto the lower portion of the inside panel in Pretty Peacock ink. The panel was adhered to a Pretty Peacock mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same image was partially stamped onto the envelope front. I always like to decorate my envelope flaps, so I searched through my Designer Series Paper packes and decided on using a Pretty Peacock print from the Delightful Floral 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. A panel of this paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap using a pair of paper snips. This completes the card!

This was such a fun and simple card to put together! I love the forest image in Pretty Peacock. While this is a thank you card, you can easily make this into a think of you card, birthday card, or holiday card! I was sitting on our deck yesterday afternoon just enjoying the beautiful day. I was struck by how blue the sky was and captured this photo to share with you. There are actually two trees in the photo. The greener tree is our Red Bud tree with a taller and colorful Maple sitting behind it. The leaves on the trees in our area are just starting to show their Fall color. Mother Nature is glorious! Enjoy your day!
