Inky Bee Stampers

Happy Friday! I hope everyone has enjoyed a good week! This bright and cheerful birthday card was created using the Translucent Florals Bundle and the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. The flowers were stamped in Lemon Lolly and Orchid Oasis and the leaves were stamped in Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow…such pretty colors together!

I started off by embossing a white panel then adhering this panel to an Orchid Oasis mat. I cut two rectangles – one from Orchid Oasis cardstock and one from Granny Apple Green cardstock. These rectangles were adhered to the lower portion of the embossed panel and offset. I stamped two flowers in Orchid Oasis and one flower in Lemon Lolly ink. Did you notice, though, that the flowers have a bit of shadow behind them? I die cut matching solid images of the flowers and adhered the stamped flowers to the solid images for an added twist!

I also stamped and die cut a number of the leaves in Granny Apple Green and Mossy Meadow. All of the components were then dry fitted to the card front before adhering. All pieces were glued with the exception of the Lemon Lolly flower which was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was then adhered to the card front. The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of basic white cardstock and die cut using the smallest rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies. A Lemon Lolly Sheer Ribbon was adhered just under the Lemon Lolly flower.

An additional sentiment was stamped on the inside panel along with the slender greenery image which was stamped in the upper right and lower left corners of the panel. The panel was adhered to an Orchid Oasis mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

While I didn’t use any of the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper on the card, I did adhere a panel to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap with my paper snips. The same slender greenery image was stamped onto the envelope front. To finish up the card I added several Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots to the card front. This card is going to a very special lady in my life…I hope she likes it!
