It is time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! There are links below this post so that you can visit the other blogs participating in the Hop today. I know you’re not going to want to miss all of the creativeness and inspiration!
We have a sketch challenge for today.

I pulled out the lovely Snowflake Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper and started working on a card layout. If you haven’t taken a peak at this paper yet…you need to give it a look…it is gorgeous! I love all of the foil accents! I also used the Christmas Classics Bundle and Stylish Shapes Dies to create this card. I also turned this sketch on its side and designed my card in landscape orientation.

I first adhered a panel of the Lost Lagoon large snowflake patterned paper to a Pretty Peacock mat (these two colors are awesome together). I used the banner dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut one banner from the white and silver print designer series paper, one banner from Pretty Peacock cardstock and one banner from Basic White cardstock (this will be the sentiment label). The left edges of the banners were trimmed off.
The widest banner and the smallest banners were adhered directly to the designer series paper panel so that the left edges of the banners were flush with the left edge of the panel. The sentiment was stamped onto the remaining white banner in Pretty Peacock ink and the sentiment was stamped to the right of the banner. The sentiment label was then adhered over top of the two already adhered banners using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I wrapped a length of Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon around the left edge of the panel and secured the ends to the back of the panel. A small knot bow was tied around the wrapped thread and sits on top of the left side of the sentiment label.

Two die cut holly leaves in Pretty Peacock were adhered just under the sentiment label but before adhering these down I dusted the tops of the leaves with Wink of Stella. In my opinion, holiday cards can’t have too much glimmer and shine!
I stamped the holly image from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock ink onto the upper corners of the inside panel. The holly leaves were colored in using a Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blend. I also stamped an additional sentiment on the panel, also in Pretty Peacock ink. The panel was adhered to a Pretty Peacock mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same holly image was stamped onto the envelope front and colored in with a Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blend. I adhered a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap with a pair of paper snips. On the card front, I added five Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes and small Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the centers of each snowflake. Again…you can’t have too much sparkle and shine on holiday cards! 😊

I hope you enjoyed my card for the hop today…I had fun making it for you and I appreciate you stopping by! This card came together very quickly so it might be a good option for producing multiple cards! You can download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.
