Stampin’ Up! Pick of the Patch Halloween Card

No scary Halloween cards here! Just adorable pumpkins, falling leaves and a cute little crow here to wish you a “Happy Halloween”! I created this card using the Pick of the Patch Bundle (stamp set and punch), Glorious Gingham 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper and the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. How cute!

I started by embossing a panel of Pecan Pie cardstock in the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. This panel was then adhered to the front of a card base in Cherry Cobbler. A panel of Pecan Pie Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper was adhered to a mat in Early Espresso. I then wrapped Linen Thread around the gingham panel three times and tied a triple bow at the center point. This panel was also adhered to the left side of the card front.

On a Basic White cardstock panel measuring 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ I stamped a little scene using the stamps from the Pick of the Patch Stamp Set. The “happy Halloween” sentiment was stamped at the top left corner of the panel in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Tree branches were stamped several times in Pecan Pie ink on the upper right of the panel and the little crow was stamped onto one of the branches in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. The crow’s beak was colored in with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend and the crow’s eye was colored in with a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend. Pumpkins and a gourd were stamped along the bottom of the panel in Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Mossy Meadow inks and all of the stems were stamped in Early Espresso ink. Cherry Cobbler leaves spill down the side and along the bottom of the panel.

On a scrap piece of white cardstock, I stamped the larger pumpkin in Crushed Curry ink, and a stem in Early Espresso ink. The Jack-O-Lantern face was stamped onto the pumpkin using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I then used the Pick of the Patch Builder Punch to punch out the pumpkin and stem. The stem was adhered to the back, top of the pumpkin and the pumpkin was adhered to the bottom right of the stamped panel. The stamped panel was then adhered to the card front.

On the inside panel the sentiment ” You’re the Pick of the Patch” was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and three pumpkins of varying sizes were stamped along the bottom of the panel in Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie inks. The stems were stamped in Early Espresso ink, and I stamped a vine on the center pumpkin using Mossy Meadow ink. The panel was then adhered to an Early Espresso mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

I stamped a large and small pumpkin onto the lower left corner of the envelope front, added the stems in Early Espresso ink, and a vine was stamped onto the larger pumpkin in Mossy Meadow ink. A coordinating piece of the Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I used paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap. Finally, I adhered three Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to the card front.

The Pick of the Patch Bundle has turned out to be one of my favorite Fall sets and I love the adorable images! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial for this card by clicking on the image below.
