I’m back with a lovely card created with the Merriest Trees Bundle – one of my all-time favorite Christmas sets! I also used the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder, Winter Meadow 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and Silver 12″ x 12″ Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper. Oh, and I did a little ink blending to really highlight the die cut tree!
I selected a Pretty Peacock watercolor print from the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper and adhered a panel to a Pretty Peacock cardstock mat. I then used the third-to-largest Deckled Rectangles Dies to cut out a panel from Basic White cardstock. This panel was then embossed using the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder. The embossed panel was adhered to the Pretty Peacock designer series panel. A length of Sheer Ribbon was wrapped horizontally around the lower portion of this unit with the ribbon ends secured on the back of the panel using a small amount of Stampin’ Seal.

To create the pretty ink blended tree, using the Merriest Trees Dies I die cut the four largest tree sections from Basic White cardstock. I used a blending brush to blend Pretty Peacock ink onto the tops and bottoms of each tree section, making sure to leave the bottoms of the tree sections a little lighter in color. A bone folder was used to curl up the bottoms of each tree section before gluing the tree sections together. Curling the edges of these sections really provides a lot of dimension! I also die cut the garland from Silver Adhesive-Backed Glimmer Paper and adhered the garland to the assembled tree. A star was also die cut from the silver Glimmer Paper and adhered to the top of the tree. The tree was then adhered to the white embossed panel using liquid glue. The “love & joy” sentiment from the Merriest Trees Stamp Set was stamped in Pretty Peacock ink onto a sentiment label cut from the smallest die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. The sentiment label was adhered towards the lower left of the completed panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel was then adhered to the front of a Thick Basic White card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the Merriest Trees Stamp Set, I stamped the “We wish you a Merry Christmas” sentiment on the inside panel in Pretty Peacock ink. A star was stamped above the tree and snowflakes were stamped around the tree – also in Pretty Peacock ink. The panel was adhered to a Pretty Peacock mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

Snowflakes stamped in Pretty Peacock ink were stamped onto the lower corner of the envelope front and a piece of coordinating designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap with the excess paper trimmed away from the flap. To finish up the card, I dotted Wink of Stella on the embossed snowflakes on the card front.

If you haven’t grabbed the Merriest Trees Bundle yet, I highly recommend that you do! The set is so versatile and provides lots of color and design options!
