Inky Bee Stampers

The Magical Meadow Bundle and Winter Meadow 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper were used to create today’s card. I have some good news and bad news. When creating this card, I didn’t realize that the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper was currently unavailable! The good news is that it should be back in stock around September 25. This is a very popular paper and it is easy to guess why…it is gorgeous! I also pulled in an image from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set and a sentiment from the Botanical Layers Stamp Set for my card.

I started off by adhering a panel of one of the floral prints from the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper to a Shaded Spruce mat. This was then adhered to the front of the Thick Basic White card base. I used the 4th to smallest die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies to cut out a vellum panel. I used the pine bough image from the Christmas Classics Stamp Set to third-generation stamp the pine bough multiple times in Pretty Peacock ink onto the vellum panel. This provided some subtle shadow images on the panel.

I die cut two of the greenery stems from the Magical Meadow Dies – one from Pebbled Path cardstock and one from Basic White cardstock. The white cardstock greenery stem was colored using Stampin’ Blends in Pebbled Path, Shaded Spruce and Blueberry Bushel. The greenery was then adhered to the vellum panel. Liquid glue was applied to the back side of the vellum panel where it would be hidden by the greenery on the front, then the panel was adhered to the card front. A sentiment label was cut from white cardstock using the smallest rectangle from the Deckled Rectangle Dies and I used the “thinking of you” sentiment from the Botanical Layers Stamp Set for the greeting, which was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink. The sentiment was adhered to the card front.

On the inside panel I third generation stamped the pine bough several times in the upper right and lower left corners in Pretty Peacock ink then stamped the greenery image over top in Shaded Spruce ink. I love this color combination! The panel was then adhered to a Shaded Spruce mat and adhered to the inside of the card.

The same pine bough and greenery images were stamped onto the lower left corner of the envelope front in Pretty Peacock ink and Shaded Spruce ink, respectively. I adhered a coordinating piece of the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper onto the envelope flap and used paper snips to trim away the excess paper from the flap. To finish off the card I tied a small knot bow using White Iridescent Ribbon and adhered this to the card front at the base of the greenery stems. Several Iridescent Rhinestones were also added to the card front for a little sparkle.

While the Magical Meadow Bundle and Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper may be “winter” themed, they definitely can be used any time of the year and for any occasion!
