Stampin’ Up! Pick of the Patch Fall Card

The fun Pick of the Patch Bundle along with the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks was used to create today’s card. The Pick of the Patch Bundle includes stamps and a builder punch. The Pick of the Patch Stamp Set includes some great Fall sentiments, a thank you sentiment and Halloween sentiment, along with multiple sized pumpkins, tree elements, a blackbird, vines, a Jack-O-Lantern face and a stem…everything you’ll need to create some fantastic Fall-themed cards. The Pick of the Patch Builder Punch will punch out two different sized pumpkins and a stem.

The Houndstooth pattern always reminds me of wool blazers and colder weather, so I created the houndstooth pattern for the background of my card using the houndstooth mask from the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks. I started with a panel of Crushed Curry cardstock and layered the mask over the panel, secured the mask to my protected work surface then blended Cajun Craze ink over the panel. After allowing the panel to dry for a few minutes, I adhered it to a mat in Very Vanilla. A length of Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon was wrapped down the left side of the panel and the ends were secured to the back using a little Stampin’ Seal. The panel was then adhered to the front of a Cajun Craze card base.

Using the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies I cut out a circle in Very Vanilla. On a scrap piece of Very Vanilla, I stamped three pumpkins and three stems and used the Pick of the Patch Builder Punch to punch these out. The pumpkins were stamped in Crushed Curry ink and the stems were stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped a vine directly onto one of the pumpkins in Mossy Meadow. The sentiment was stamped across the top of the circle using Cajun Craze ink along with some leaves. The pumpkins were arranged around the bottom of the circle and the circle was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside panel, I stamped pumpkins in Crushed Curry along the bottom of the panel and added Mossy Meadow stems. Leaves were stamped down the left edge of the panel in Cajun Craze. The panel was adhered to a Crushed Curry mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

I stamped a single pumpkin and several leaves onto the envelope front, and I stamped a row of leaves across the envelope flap. I added a knot bow to the card front along with several black Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to complete the card.

I had so much fun creating this card! I love using builder punches…and these little pumpkins are the bomb! If you would like to recreate this card you can download, save and print the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
