Inky Bee Stampers

I have a special card to share with you today. This card was created using products from the O Holy Night Suite Collection. This collection will be available for customer orders beginning on September 6 from the new Sept-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog!

When I first saw the O Holy Night Suite, I immediately thought of a box fold card to highlight the manger scene. I had previously created a box fold card for another project, but the center panel was not wide enough to accommodate the manger for this card. I set about adjusting the measurements of this box fold so that the manger would fit exactly on the center panel…and success!

This box fold consists of a card base measuring 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and the box portion of the card which measures 5-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ and is scored at 3/8″, 1-1/8″, 4-5/8″, and 5-3/8″. The score lines on the box portion of the card were burnished with a bone folder, and Tear & Tape was adhered to the far left and right panels of the card. The box portion of the card was then adhered to the 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ card base. You can find detailed instructions on how to assemble these pieces in the linked pdf tutorial below.

I chose a star patterned paper from the O Holy Night Designer Series Paper pack and adhered panels to the left, center and right sections of the card front. Using the Night Divine and Stars at Night Die sets, I die cut a manger from Copper Clay cardstock. The Holy Family image, and animals were cut from Basic Black cardstock. I also die cut just the cradle from Gold Foil and trimmed around this piece and adhered the gold cradle to the Basic Black cradle. The manger was first adhered to the center panel and required a little trimming in length, but the manger fits exactly across the center panel. The Holy Family was then adhered to the center panel. The donkey was adhered to the left of the manger using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The cow and lamb were adhered to the left and right panels.

The sentiment label was cut from the Stars at Night Dies set and the “Joy & Peace” sentiment from the Night Divine Stamp Set was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on to the label. The sentiment label was adhered to the top of the center panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Several stars were die cut from the Stars at Night Dies set in Gold Foil and the largest of these was adhered to the top of the manger. The smaller stars were adhered to the left and right panels. I also added several of the Adhesive-Backed Star Trinkets to the card front. A Night of Navy & Gold Glittered Ribbon bow was added to the top lef top of the sentiment.

For the inside panel, which sits on the back of the card, I stamped the sentiment “Glory to God in the Highest” in Misty Moonlight ink onto the panel. Stars from the Stars at Night Stamp Set were stamped across the top of the panel and the panel was adhered to the back of the card.

I stamped the multi-star image onto the lower left and right corners of the envelope front. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap, and I trimmed the excess paper away from the flap using paper snips.

The O Holy Night Suite is a “must have” collection if you will be creating holiday cards to send out! I have already seen lots of great examples of cards using these products and each one is stunning!
