Inky Bee Stampers

This card was created using the Seasonal Branches Stamp Set along with the All About Autumn 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (which will be available on September 6 from the new Mini Catalog). This Fall-themed get-well card would also make a great birthday card for the guys…just change up the sentiments!

I started off with a card base measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored on the long edge at 2-1/8″ and 4-1/4″. A woodland scene from the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper was chosen and I added a panel to the far most left and right sections of the card base, making sure that the scene flowed from the left to right. A Mossy Meadow and metallic print panel was added to the second section to the left of the card base.

Using the branch stamp from the Seasonal Branches Stamp Set, I stamped the branch onto a rectangle cut from Crushed Curry cardstock using the second to largest die from the Nested Essentials Dies set. I then used the single leaf image from the stamp set to stamp leaves around the branch in Pumpkin Pie ink. I used the light shade of a Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend to color in the leaves and used the dark shade to add shadows on the leaves where needed. A sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. The sentiment label was adhered to a larger rectangle cut from a Mossy Meadow and metallic print and was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then adhered just the left side of the sentiment label to card front.

On the inside panel I stamped an additional sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and stamped a few leaves towards the bottom of the panel in Pumpkin Pie ink. The leaves were colored with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends and the panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

A double bow tied from Linen Thread was added to the upper left corner of the sentiment label and I adhered several Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots to the sentiment label to finish up the card. The same branch and leaves were stamped onto the envelope front and the leaves were colored in using Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of the All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper was adhered to the envelope flap and I used my paper snips to trim the excess paper away from the flap.
