Inky Bee Stampers

It is always exciting to receive my Paper Pumpkin Kit in the mail each month! This month’s kit, Meaningful Flowers, is just beautiful. The kit made a total of eight cards, four each of two different designs and the kit included everything that I needed to complete the cards including, stamps, an ink spot, sentiment labels, cut outs, adhesives, embellishments, card bases and matching envelopes!

The really great thing about Paper Pumpkin is that it is your kit…and you can assemble the cards any way you want. You are not obligated to follow the directions provided exactly. I did change up my cards a little bit when I assembled them.

Here is the Forget-Me-Not card. Check out the cut outs on the card front. The bouquet of flowers on the inside of the card are popped up with Stampin’ dimensionals.

The inside of the card is equally lovely and includes the sentiment.

The Lotus Flower card included some fun printed vellum panels. I would never imagine combining the colors of Orchid Oasis with Pretty Peacock together…but look how beautiful!

The backs of the cards detail the meaning of each flower along with a description. These cards are great for your gardening friends!

I was feeling ambitious and created another card separate from the kit but using the stamp set provided with the kit. I love Forget-Me-Nots! This single stamp created a very sweet card.

The Forget-Me-Not image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto a small 3″ x 2-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and colored with Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. The panel was adhered to a Tahitian Tide mat measuring 3-1/4″ x 2-1/2″. Linen Thread was wrapped around the bottom of the panel two times and a simple bow was tied on the front of the panel. On a larger white panel measuring 5-1/4″ x 4″, I stamped the sentiment, then embossed the panel with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (available as an Online Exclusive). The large, embossed panel was adhered to a Thick Basic White card base, then the smaller flower panel was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used a few of the clear embellishments on the card front that came in my Paper Pumpkin Kit, too. The same flower image was stamped onto the inside of the card as well as the envelope and colored with Stampin’ Blends. Simple and easy!
