Inky Bee Stampers

This pretty pond scene from the Calm & Quiet Stamp Set reminds me of Delft Pottery from the Netherlands and Boho Blue ink was the perfect color choice!  In addition to using the Calm & Quiet Stamp Set I also used the Countryside Inn 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper and the Countryside Corners Dies. The sentiments and flower die cut were pulled from the Wonderful Thoughts Bundle.

To begin, I adhered a panel of the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper in a floral print to a Boho Blue mat, then adhered this to a Thick Basic White card base. On a piece of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the pond scene from the Calm & Quiet Stamp Set in Boho Blue ink. I wanted to give the stamped image a little more depth, so I used a Blender Pen and Boho Blue ink to darken some of the shadow areas on the scene. The image was cut out using the 3rd to largest octagon die from the Countryside Corners Dies. I also cut out an octagon from Boho Blue cardstock using the 2nd to largest octagon die from the same set. The two octagons were adhered together, then adhered to the card front.

A sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock and I used the smallest octagon from the Countryside Corners Dies to cut out. The sentiment label was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, just below and slightly overlapping the pond scene. A die cut flower in Boho Blue was added just above the corner of the sentiment label and I added a bow knot at the base of the flower.

I stamped an additional sentiment onto the inside panel in Boho Blue ink from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set. The small grass image from the Calm & Quiet Stamp Set was partially stamped onto the lower right corner of the panel in Boho Blue ink. I did not stamp the birds included on this stamp. The inside panel was adhered to a Boho Blue mat then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same grass image from the Calm & Quiet Stamp Set was stamped onto the envelope front and a coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap with the excess paper trimmed away.
