Inky Bee Stampers

The fun black and white prints on the Zoo Crew 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper combined with the cute images from the Zany Zoo Stamp Set make for some great friendship cards, especially when you add sentiments from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set!

Today’s card is not exactly a fun fold, but almost! The Lemon Lime Twist card base measures 7-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and was scored at 3-1/4″. This leaves an inch of the inside of the card peeking through…great for adding a contrasting designer series paper. A polka dot print was added to the card front and the squiggly line print was added to the right side on the inside of the card.

I used the largest rounded rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies to cut out a rectangle and stamped the alligator image from the Zany Zoo Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I grabbed the “Hi, friend” sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set and stamped this in the upper left corner of the rectangle – also in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color in the alligator, bicycle, basket and flowers. The rectangle was adhered to the lower third of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and was centered from left to right.

On the inside panel, I used the confetti stamp from the Zany Zoo Stamp Set and stamped confetti in opposite upper and lower corners in Lemon Lime Twist ink. I used another sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set, “so happy that you are my person” (I LOVE this sentiment) and stamped this in Memento ink. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

Confetti was stamped onto the envelope front, and I added a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap. I used a Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blend to color a few Rhinestones, and these were added to the card front. Did you know that you could use Stampin’ Blends to color rhinestones? Yes, you can and it is a wonderful way to coordinate with your projects! I tied a small bow using Lemon Lime Twist ribbon and adhered the bow to the upper left corner of the rounded rectangle to complete the card!
