Inky Bee Stampers

You might have missed the Growth Takes Time Stamp Set in the 2023-2025 Annual Catalog…but check it out!  This stamp set is all about encouraging someone who may need a little lift.  I think this card would be perfect for a young adult or teenager, or a child who needs a little encouraging along the way and a reminder of how far they have come! And I love how the stamp set tells a story of growth!

I went to my all-time favorite, the Delightfully Eclectic 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, and chose a dotted print in Crushed Curry and white. I adhered a panel of this paper to a Garden Green mat, then adhered this to a card base in Crushed Curry. I used the second to smallest rectangle from the Deckled Rectangles Dies to cut out three rectangles. On two of the rectangles I stamped the sprouting seed and watering can and the small tree in Tuxedo Black Momento ink. I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color in the images then used a blending brush to lightly blend Balmy Blue ink over the panels to indicate sky. A sentiment was stamped onto the third rectangle in Garden Green ink. All three panels were adhered to Garden Green mats, and adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The large tree image from the Growth Takes Time Stamp Set was stamped onto a white panel and colored in with Stampin’ Blends. Balmy Blue ink was lightly blended around the tree image. The panel was adhered to a Garden Green mat, then adhered to the top panel of the inside of the card. Not the usual…and it does make this card a little heavy, but the full-grown tree is a MUST for this story line! The “look how far you’ve come” sentiment was stamped onto an additional inside panel and I stamped and colored several of the small leaf images around the sentiment. The panel was adhered to a Garden Green mat, then adhered to the inside of the card.

To finish up the card I stamped the small tree image onto the envelope front and colored in the image with Stampin’ Blends. A coordinating piece of designer series paper was adhered to the envelope flap with the excess paper trimmed away from the flap. I opted for no additional embellishments or ribbon for this card.

The images in the Growth Takes Time Stamp Set are so sweet and the sentiments so uplifting! Think of the child who didn’t get picked for the team or school play or the young adult who was overlooked for that promotion and remind them of how far they have come already!
