Inky Bee Stampers

I absolutely get a kick out of the funny roosters from the Hey Chuck Bundle! You can’t help but smile when you see them! Today’s card involves a little stamping, coloring and die cutting and the card is done!

A piece of the 2023-2025 In Color 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper in a Copper Clay stripe was adhered to a Basic Black card base. The image of the “fluffy” rooster was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a scrap of white cardstock. I used Lemon Lolly, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, and Copper Clay Stampin’ Blends to color in the image, then the image was cut out using the coordinating die from the set. Using the Hey Chuck Dies I cut out a weathervane from Basic Black cardstock and the sun in Lemon Lolly cardstock.

The weathervane was adhered directly to the upper right corner of the card front. I used my 2-3/8″ Circle Punch to punch out a circle in Basic White cardstock, then adhered the sun image, then the rooster image to the circle. The circle was then adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The “Rise & Shine” sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a white sentiment label, then the label was adhered to a Basic Black mat. The sentiment label was adhered to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I stamped an additional sentiment. The fence image was stamped in the lower corner and another of the roosters was partially stamped onto the opposite corner. I used Copper Clay Stampin’ Blends to color in the fence and Lemon Lolly, Poppy Parade and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends to color in the rooster. This panel was then adhered to the inside of the card.

The same rooster stamped on the inside of the card was partially stamped onto the envelope front and colored in with Stampin’ Blends. I added a coordinating piece of designer series paper to the envelope flap and trimmed the excess paper away from the flap to finish off the envelope. I added several Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the card front to complete the card.
