Happy 4th of July! I hope you have something fun planned to celebrate today!

My card for today is a Christmas themed card. I know…it’s only July! But it’s not too early to start thinking about making those Christmas cards! Today’s card design is simple and easy and uses the lovely One Horse Open Sleigh 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. The panel on the front of the card is double matted and tied with some pretty silver trim…perfect to send to your family or friends! And there are a ton of pretty winter scenes in the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper pack to create multiples of this card!

I started off by using the cross-hatch embossing folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders set to emboss a white panel which was adhered to a Boho Blue card base. I cut a scene from one of the papers in the One Horse Open Sleigh paper pack and double matted the panel with Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight. A length of silver trim was tied around the bottom of the panel and the panel was adhered to the center of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I chose a sentiment from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set and stamped this in Misty Moonlight ink onto the inside panel. I first, second and third generation stamped the image of the tree from the Horse & Sleigh Stamp Set onto the lower corner of the panel, then adhered the panel to a Misty Moonlight mat and adhered this unit to the inside of the card.

The same tree image was partially stamped onto the envelope front and envelope flap. A few small Rhinestones were added to the card front to finish up the card.

I love the simple, quiet design of this card and the scenes included in the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper are all so lovely. You can grab the One Horse Open Sleigh Suite of products beginning on July 6 as Online Exclusives!
