Stampin’ Up! Textured Floral Birthday Card in Yellow and Pink

This card is a CAS (Create and Share) from the Annual Catalog and uses the Textured Floral Bundle. I thought the card was so lovely so I set about recreating it. I put a bit of a different twist on the card I created though, as you will see.

I really love the Lemon Lolly striped background on this card. I was pretty sure I had seen this pattern in my stash of Designer Series Paper, but it turns out I must really like this pattern and used all of mine up! I set about creating my own striped background using a scrap strip of cardstock and my Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blend. The lines are not completely uniform, but I love the organic look! The panel was adhered to the front of a Lemon Lolly card base.

Using the Textured Florals Dies, I cut several of the large greenery sprigs from Granny Apple Green cardstock. From the Textured Florals Stamp Set, I stamped the multi-flower image and its stem onto white cardstock two times. The flowers were stamped in Bubble Bath ink and the stem in Granny Apple Green ink. I used the light and dark shades of my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to better define and shade the flowers.

The die cut greenery and flowers were die cut and I arranged the greenery pieces onto the card front first. One of the flower sprigs was added on top and just to the right of the greenery. The birthday sentiment was stamped onto a piece of white cardstock, and I used the fancy label die from the All That Dies set to cut out. A length of Lemon Lolly Sheer Ribbon was adhered directly to the card front and secured with Stampin’ Seal. The sentiment label was placed directly over top of the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside panel I stamped an additional sentiment and stamped the same flower and stem image onto the lower corner of the panel. I again used the Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to define and shade the stamped flowers.

The envelope front was stamped with the multi-flower image and colored. One of the small flowers from the Textured Floral Stamp Set was stamped onto the envelope flap in Bubble Bath ink and shaded using Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. Several Lemon Lolly Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems were added to the card front.

Sometimes you just need a little inspiration, and the Annual Catalog is a great place to turn. If you would like to recreate this card you can grab the pdf tutorial by clicking on the image below.
