Inky Bee Stampers

Here is another easy gift card holder option for you created with the Peaceful Evergreens Bundle, Reindeer Days 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, and the Sentimental Wishes Stamp Set. This is a wallet-style gift card holder with a belly band.

I started off with a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock cut to 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. With the long side facing up, I scored the cardstock at 1-1/4″, 4″ and 6-1/2″ and all score lines were folded as valley folds. The 1-1/4″ section is the top flap of the gift card holder.

With the 2″ bottom section folded up, I adhered a plaid print panel to this section, then used a 2″ Circle Punch to punch along the edge of the panel to create a thumb hole.

I opened this punched panel and adhered a piece of Tear & Tape along the left and right side, then closed the panel to adhere the sides together. This creates the gift card pocket.

The gift card holder was flipped to the front and I adhered the plaid designer series paper panels to the remaining three sections. For the top flap, I opted to use a corner rounder punch, but this step is optional. If you want to round the corners of the top flap you will need to first punch the corners of the cardstock, then punch the top corners of the designer series paper before adhering to the cardstock base.

The belly band measures 6-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ and was cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock. I carefully wrapped the belly band around the closed gift card holder and made sure that I could easily slide the belly band before adhering the ends together at the front of the gift card holder. I used the second from largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out a circle front Granny Apple Green cardstock. Withe the belly band placed over the gift card holder, I adhered the circle to the front of the belly band.

Using the Peaceful Evergreens Dies, I die cut one small, detailed tree from Gold Foil and the small outline of the tree from Garden Green cardstock. The detailed Gold Foil tree was then adhered to the Garden Green tree. The tree was then adhered to the center of the circle on the belly band using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The Sentimental Wishes Stamp Set was used for the sentiment on the inside panel and this was stamped in Real Red ink. The small tree image from the Peaceful Evergreens Stamp Set was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink onto the lower corner of the panel, then stamped once again without reinking the stamp. The panel was then adhered to the inside of the gift card holder, just above the gift card pocket.

To finish up the gift card holder I used the dark shade of a Real Red Stampin’ Blend to color five small Rhinestones. The Rhinestones were then added to the tree on the front of the gift card holder to give it a bit of sparkle.
