I created these adorable little treat holders using the Sophisticated Sled Bundle and the Take A Bow 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. They measure 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ x 4″ and will hold several small fun-sized candy bars, Hershey’s Kisses or even some lip balm! Use them as stocking stuffers, a fun little gift, table placeholders or party favors!
To form the box I cut a piece of designer series paper to 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″. I used my Stampin’ Up! Score Board to score along one side at 1-1/4″, 2-1/2″, 3-3/4″ and 5″. I turned the paper 90 degrees then scored at 1-1/4″. The paper was then cut along the dotted lines as shown below. Two of the box bottom tabs were shortened by half and the slender 1/4″ section towards the box bottom tabs was cut out.

I used Tear & Tape along the slender 1/4″ tab section, then joined this section to the opposite end of the box to form a tube. The box bottom pieces were folded in and secured with liquid glue. Once the box was formed, I pinched in the sides of the box and used a 1/8″ hole punch to punch a hole at the top. I used a length of Silver & White Sheet Ribbon and threaded it through the punched holes and tied a bow at the top of the box.

For the first treat holder I decorated the front with the swag image from the Sophisticated Sled Stamp Set. I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it in with Stampin’ Blends. I then used the coordinating die from the Sophisticated Sled Dies to cut out the image. The swag was adhered to the front of the box using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The “Good Tidings” sentiment was stamped in Granny Apple Green ink onto a 1/2″ wide piece of white cardstock. I again used the 1/8″ hole punch to punch a hole at the end of the sentiment label and secured the label with a length of Garden Green Natural Tones Linen Thread to the top of the treat box.

For the next box I selected a Real Red & White diagonal strip print from the Take A Bow Designer Series Paper. The Sophisticated Sled Dies were used to cut out a pair of skates from white cardstock, skate laces from Real Red cardstock, and skate blades from Silver Textured Metallic Specialty Paper. I used liquid glue to then assemble the skates. The skates were adhered together using a Mini Glue Dot, then I attached a length of folded Real Red & White Baker’s Twine to the back of the skates. The skates were then adhered to the front of the treat holder using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped onto a 2-1/4″ x 1″ white sentiment label in Real Red ink. I used a 1/8″ hole punch to punch a hole in the end of the label. I then looped one end of the Baker’s Twine through the hole in the sentiment label, then looped the Baker’s Twine around the base of the Sheer Ribbon bow and tied a second bow with the Baker’s Twine.
These little treat holders were a lot of fun to make and decorate! I’m thinking I will make a few more and use these as placeholders for our Christmas dinner! Instead of stamping a sentiment I’ll write the person’s name on the tag instead.
